Private Building Law

Private building law regulates the legal relationship between builder, architect and tradesmen. While the builder or client is usually interested in their project being completed as planned and any defects being removed during the actual building, construction companies and tradesmen are more often faced with the problem of receiving payment in full for work completed.

We advise and represent both those commissioning the building as well as the architects, engineers, construction companies and tradesmen working on the project in all legal issues dealing with the planning, realization and use of construction projects. We check and draw up any contracts concerned with this work and see to it that the interests of all parties are protected.

We offer special support in:

  • checking and drawing up all kinds of contracts
  • giving advice on all occurring problems (e.g. correct notice of defects, giving notice of delay/arrears)
  • supporting all contact negotiations or solving contracts with contract partners
  • representation in court processes
